Our team

Melinda Sponseller, LPCC

My name is Melinda but I go by Mindy and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio and Kentucky with over 20 years experience working in the mental health field in some capacity. I like to meet my clients where they are, create goals, and work toward achieving those goals through us establishing a therapeutic relationship.  My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered and Solution Focused modalities but can be eclectic based on your needs. I enjoy empowering my clients to work towards change and how challenges can be an opportunity for change and/or growth. I provide a safe, non judgmental environment for my clients to express emotions and deal with life's challenges. I believe that humor in therapy, from time to time, can alleviate stress and provide a sense of normalcy.  My scope of practice includes general mental health issues ( anxiety, depression, etc) relationship issues, life transitions, work/life balance, career, grief, anger management and more. Thanks for reading my profile. This is the first step. Together we can explore your emotions, challenges, and strengths to assist you with living a long happy life!

Helen Magers, LPCC

I am trained in EMDR and work successfully with patients who suffer from traumatic experiences. I have extensive experience in the treatment of substance abuse and addictions. I believe clients have the answers to their problems and the job of a therapist is to assist them in discovering the answers.

William “Bill” DeFelice LPCC

I specialize in working with families, couples, and individuals. I have worked extensively with diverse clinical issues, including anxiety, depression etc. along with relational issues such as trust, communication, etc. I have always used a cognitive behavioral approach. This simply means that after identifying the behaviors that we want to change, we will focus on the thoughts that are contributing to the behavior that needs to be changed. I guarantee that I will work just as hard as you in therapy, so that you can make the positive changes necessary to better your life.
